Welcome to the Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship website!

The Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship was founded to assist students who are farmworkers or children of farmworkers who demonstrate, by hard work and academic achievement, a desire to better their lives by pursuing higher education.  The scholarship serves as a memorial to Juan Garcia who was a farmworker from the time he was a child in Mexico in a small family farm in Teocaltiche, Jalisco until he retired at the age of 65 years old in Reedley, CA.

All students who are from farmworker families are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  It is for those who have worked hard in school and demonstrated Juan’s own admirable qualities of responsibility, diligence, gratitude, and perseverance.  It is for those who recognize that college will require hard work and are willing to do what is required to succeed there and beyond.

The Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. 100% of your donation goes to the scholarship recipients and is tax deductible. For information contact us at
